Concerts
Okay
I just got back from Buddy Guy in the shit stain that is Wendover... Best concert I have ever been to. This may seem extreme, but it is in fact the case. Buddy Guy walked through the audience and at one point his guitar was no further than one foot from my face. The last great blues man on the planet was close enough for me to smell him and all I could do was stare at his hands on the fret board as he played on.
Here's the sad part, he didn't sell out 1,000 seats. Brittney Spears and her worthless white trash ass could sell out that theatre at no less than $200 a ticket in her miserable state and one of the greatest American musicians who still happens to be alive today can't sell 1,000 seats at $30 to $40 each. The really sad part is I'd bet half the people reading this post only know who he is because of me raving on about him and the other half don't know of him at all. This isn't about a taste for blues (which you have if you listen to Zep know it or not) but rather a realization of who's responsible for inspiring Clapton or Hendrix.
Anyway, on to brighter things, the concert was a alot of fun along with the trip with my wife, my brother and his wife, and my brother's friend. This inspired the thought that a concert thread would be a great idea. I don't have any pictures, but obviously that would be a good thing to do if you have them.
Post away brothers...

Re: Concerts
“He was for me what Elvis was probably like for other people… My course was set, and he was my pilot."
- Eric Clapton

This is one of my favorites and it's fairly recent. 2000 or 2001 I think.
