Re: The New President is...
I totally agree, but we'll only know how good he is when he wins and does a good or poor job as President. I think we can also agree that Hilary needs to drop out at this point. All in favor?

Aye! Though I don't know very much. I am open to hear about all the candidates, and i would love to hear all of your opinions. I currently don't like Hilary very much, but I couldn't tell you why she would be a bad president. Therefore, I would love to become educated and hear about why or why not the candidates should win the election. Lets do so in a new topic of politics though.

Re: The New President is...
I simply have no trust for Hilary. I've heard her say several things back and forth to convince two opposing sides to vote for her. The draw for her doesn't make much sense to me. Basically I just don't feel like anything she says is credible.
Obama is young and good looking and he inspires people but that really matters is that he gets us out of Iraq. The idea that he'll change American politics is as big a fantasy as Batman being real. Politicians are politicians are politicians. But more than half of even politicians want us out of Iraq. If that happens, America might look good to other nations again and I'll like Obama as a president.
Finally, McCain's view on the war is enough to stop my bowel movement. We don't have the resource to continue in Iraq without some great tax increase and maybe a draft. Could someone tell me again why we're even in Iraq?

Re: The New President is...
i posted this on the other chain, but here it is again. i agree with Zeek that Obama represents Hope in his youth and vivacity as well as in his rhetoric. McCain wants war, period. that alone convinces me that i will vote for whoever runs against him. so there you go

Re: The New President is...
How do you think Hillary winning Pennsylvania will affect the Democratic Nomination?

Re: The New President is...
ultimately i don't think it will have any effect. it's a state that traditionally votes democratic regardless so it makes no difference to the party. as far as within the party, the margin was so thin that it's not as great a victory as hillary thinks. there are two more primaries coming up that will be jsut as meaningless, but just as hyped in the media. i am also feeling less and less that this little tussle is hurting the democrats. whichever one wins will have had continuous exposure while mccain has just been in hiding trying not to say or do anything stupid.

Re: The New President is...
I really hope you're correct as far as that goes.

Re: The New President is...
After the they called PA last night, me and Russ watched Larry King live and they had John King showing that Obama will have more delegates if they split the remaining ones equal equal. Then he went of to say, even if Hilary wins the majority of the delegates then Obama will still have more. So, what he was saying is that if it reaches the point that both are in the running during the Democratic National Convention then there is a good chance that the Super Delegates will decide who is the most electable... mmmm the wonderful taste of democracy.
