The Greatest Video Game Ever!

I think that CoD4 not only delivers a better online multiplayer experience, its single player campaign blew me away. I think it tops both Halo and Gears for single player campaign.

I enjoyed the single player, but it didn't feel all that new to me. Halo didn't either, but there was an investment there. Gears was very different to me. That game isn't about innovation as much as it's about violence and crazy looking aliens, but in a view and engine you've never seen and multiplayer like that is pretty new. Don't get me wrong, I loved COD4 still.

i still don't think any first person shooter will surpass those two levels on the first Contra. that was some hot action there.

LIES AND BLASPHEMIES! We all know Final Fantasy VII is the best game of all time! World of Warcraft is also a pretty cool guy.

Just think about it for the majority of the game the main enemies are dudes that run across the screen and never shoot at you. When you contrast that with how hard the game is... wow what a game.

i'm starting to get the feeling that none of you have ever played Golgo 13 on the NES. for shame...

I'm afraid I haven't, but I have played Ys and Bonk and I'm fairly certain few have even heard of these titles. Yay for turbo grafx 16!

Why CoD4 rock my world. When I finished the game (for anyone who has ever beat it) when I got the achievement called "You Won the War!" I audibly said "It doesn't feel like it."

Before CoD4 There was counterstrike, Which is arguably very similar to CoD
Shadowrun is also a GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT game (on the 360, not pen and paper)
